The Zamfara Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed 517 personnel and 16 operational vehicles for a hitch-free Sallah celebration.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Isah Aliyu, said this in a Tuesday statement issued to reporters in Gusau. He said the Command had marked strategic places for effective traffic regulation.
Aliyu said the Command mounted personnel at flash points to provide rescue services, clear obstructions, enforce traffic laws, and control traffic. “The command also provided three ambulances on standby to ensure prompt rescue of victims of road crashes,” he said.
The Sector Commander, Aliyu Ma’aji, had admonished the motoring public to obey traffic rules and regulations.
He also urged them to refrain from speeding, overloading, dangerous driving, and using their phones while driving, which could cause road traffic crashes.
Ma’aji wished the Zamfara people a happy Eid-Kabir (Sallah) celebration.
He advised the motoring public to drive cautiously because only those alive celebrate.
