Lokoja: In a thrilling encounter on Sunday at Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, Jordan Football Academy reclaimed the top spot in the Afriskaut Elite Super League with a 2–1 win.
The hard-fought Match Day Five victory pushed Jordan FA to 11 points, placing them ahead of FC Bako and Reigner FC on the table.
Reigner FC took an early lead in the fourth minute, with Akin Ola netting past Jordan FA’s defence to open the scoring.
Kehinde Suraju brought Jordan FA level in the 22nd minute, igniting hopes of a comeback in the tightly contested fixture.
Suraju scored again in the 79th minute, tapping in from close range after an impressive attacking build-up by Jordan FA.
Jordan FA’s goalkeeper, Samson Samson, made several crucial saves to deny Reigner FC and was named Man of the Match for his heroic efforts.
Speaking after the match, Samson expressed joy over the win, attributing his performance to divine favour and team support.
