Abuja: The Federal Government has lauded Miss Nafisa Aminu, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State, for emerging as the World’s Best in English Language skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.

Aminu, who represented Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), outperformed over 20,000 participants from 69 countries—including native English-speaking nations—to clinch the top spot.

In a statement released on Wednesday by Folasade Boriowo, the Director of Press and Public Relations, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, described Aminu’s victory as a landmark achievement and a testament to the success of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Education.

“This extraordinary achievement not only brings pride to the nation but also underscores the effectiveness of the education-focused components of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Alausa said.

He emphasised that the President’s commitment to human capital development through sustained investment in education is beginning to yield global recognition, citing Aminu’s success as a clear example.

The minister also extended appreciation to Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni for his contributions to education reform and investment in instructional materials, which he said created an enabling environment for students like Aminu to thrive.

“This is a proud moment for Nigeria and a strong endorsement of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to revitalise the education sector and raise globally competitive students,” Alausa added.

He encouraged students across the country to draw inspiration from Aminu’s achievement. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to building a future where more Nigerian students can excel on the world stage.
