FOMWAN Honours 26 Bauchi Teachers on World Teachers’ Day

Bauchi: In celebration of World Teachers’ Day, the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has recognised 26 exceptional teachers in Bauchi State for their dedication, impact, and unwavering commitment to education

The celebration was held at the FOMWAN Model Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School in Bauchi on Saturday.

During the event, the association honoured 26 teachers for their 12 years of dedicated service, commitment, and excellence in shaping young minds.

The Chairperson of the Education Sub-Committee, Hajiya Fatsuma Mohammed, said the awards recognised the teachers’ resilience and devotion to quality education.

In her remarks, the FOMWAN Amira, Hajiya Habiba Usman, described teachers as the bedrock of all professions and urged them to sustain their efforts in nurturing future leaders.

Mr Aliyu Mahmood, who spoke on behalf of the awardees, appreciated the association’s leadership for recognising their commitment.

He pledged that teachers would continue to bring innovation to the teaching and learning process to provide a better, more conducive learning environment.
