Lagos: The hit superhero series “Gen V ” has surged to the top of the Prime Video chart in Nigeria, cementing its popularity among local audiences.

The show, a gritty spin-off of The Boys, blends dark humour, action, and social commentary, resonating strongly with viewers across the country.

Its rise reflects the growing appetite for edgy, globally acclaimed content on streaming platforms in Nigeria.

The ‘Play Dirty‘, a gripping crime heist drama, secured second place on the chart.

‘Thicker than Water’, a movie about a journalist whose search for her missing sister uncovers supernatural terror and ritual killings, claimed the third spot, while ‘Our Fault‘ ranked fourth.

‘No Time to Die’, ‘A Working Man‘, ‘Hunting Jessica Brook‘, and ‘Helda’ placed fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.

‘The Terminal List: Dark Wolf,’ an action series about a man’s transformation as he delves into CIA black ops while wrestling with his conscience and darker nature, took ninth position.
Rounding off the top ten was ‘Everybody loves Jenifa’, a comedy drama about the titular character who battles professional jealousy at home.
