The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted a 20‑foot container of expired chemicals and handed it over to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

Acting Controller of the Command, Deputy Comptroller Bolaji Adigun, said the consignment contained 440 bags of Triple Pressed Stearic Acid valued at ₦36.5 million. He explained that the product was close to its expiration and posed a risk to public health, prompting its forfeiture.

Adigun also announced that the command generated ₦147.2 billion in revenue in 2025, surpassing its ₦109.4 billion target and marking a 35 percent increase from 2024. He attributed the achievement to improved enforcement and compliance.
