The Voice of Nigeria (VON) has offered its platform to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to promote positive accounts of the fund nationwide in eight languages.
VON Director-General Malam Jibrin Ndace announced this on Wednesday in Abuja. He visited the TETFund Executive Secretary, Mr Sonny Echono, with his management team.
“We broadcast in English, which is our national language, as well as in French, Swahili, and Arabic.” We broadcast in four indigenous languages – Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and Fulfulde.

Ndace explained that VON was created as a tool of soft power to shape positive perceptions of Nigeria, Nigerians, Africa, and Africans.
He disclosed that the media organisation had opened discussions with the Chinese Embassy and would soon also start broadcasting in Mandarin and Portuguese.
Ndace praised TETFund for its critical role in developing infrastructure and research within tertiary institutions.
He also commended President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, for their efforts in advancing the country.
Responding, Echono also appreciated Tinubu for putting square pegs in square holes by appointing people with media backgrounds to manage the government media organisations.
He said TETFund is proud and glad to broaden and deepen its partnership with VON to expand its reach in publicising its work.
Echono disclosed that TETFund would commission many projects in 2026, adding that they want an arrangement where every work they undertake is adequately covered and reported.
The highlight of the visit was a short video on TETFUND’s activities and mandate.
