Lagos: The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 33 ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods will arrive at the Apapa, Tin Can Island and Lekki Deep Sea Ports in Lagos.
On Monday, the NPA disclosed in its ‘Daily Shipping Position’ that vessels are expected from Feb. 22 to Feb. 27.
It said that 17 of the expected ships were to berth with containers of different goods, and the other 16 ships were to berth with bulk gas, diplomatic, bulk urea, empty containers, crude oil, bulk clinker, and blended stock.
The NPA noted that seven ships and tankers had arrived at the three ports, awaiting berthing with aviation fuel, petrol, containers, and general cargoes.
It also stated that 17 ships were discharging bulk wheat, soya bean oil, general cargo, bulk sugar, bulk urea, truckloads of fresh fish, and containers of various goods at Tincan, Apapa, and Lekki ports.
