Nigeria’s Super Falcons beat Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses 3-1 in their second pre-WAFCON friendly in Yaounde on Tuesday.

After losing 1–0 at the Military Stadium three days earlier, the Super Falcons produced a more assured performance.

Cameroon struck first once more, Christaine Maine scoring in the seventh minute to raise fears of another setback.

Nigeria responded calmly, growing in authority.

Chinwendu Ihezuo equalised in the 32nd minute, heading home a cross from Rinsola Babajide.

The equaliser settled the Falcons, who began to dictate the tempo and press as a unit.

Just before halftime, Nigeria completed their comeback.

Babajide, previously the provider, scored in the 43rd minute after a scramble, handing Nigeria a 2–1 halftime lead.

The Falcons extended their lead in the 64th minute when captain Rasheedat Ajibade whipped in a teasing cross.

Michelle Alozie met it with a flying header, making it 3–1 and sealing the win.

Both teams used the series to prepare for the 14th WAFCON in Morocco, set for March 17–April 3.
