Lagos: Restaurants in Ikeja, Lagos State, were packed on Easter Sunday as residents flocked to celebrate the holiday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that crowds of families and friends gathered at popular dining spots to enjoy diverse meals in a vibrant setting.
The festivities blended culture, leisure, and socialising as residents marked the holiday with food, relaxation, and shared moments.
Popular restaurants like Yellow Chilli, Iyeru Okin, Cilantro, and Spur Steak saw a surge in customers, many of whom struggled to accommodate the rush.

Restaurants such as Jevinik Restaurant, Kilimanjaro, and The Place also witnessed increased patronage, with traditional Nigerian dishes like Jollof Rice and Village Rice in high demand.
Many restaurants combined dine-in services with takeaway options, allowing customers to still enjoy meals despite the large crowds.

A resident, Oluwaseun Adeyemi, described the experience as “fun and refreshing”, noting that the festive mood made dining out more enjoyable.
Also, Mr Chinedu Okafor said the turnout was impressive despite the economic situation.
“It shows how people truly value time with loved ones during celebrations,” he said.sa noted that the variety of food options made the outing worthwhile, saying, “There was something for everyone, and the energy was great.”
Ms Kemi Balo. Kemi Balogun praised restaurant operators for crowd management, noting their organisation and coordination.
