Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has shared heartfelt advice with young Nigerians chasing their dreams.
Speaking in an interview with Kiss Xtra, the 33-year-old opened up about his journey and the lessons he’s learned along the way.
Davido recalled how his love for music pushed him to keep improving, even when the odds seemed stacked against him. “My advice for young boys with big dreams is, first of all, believe in yourself.
“I worked on my craft so much. I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me,” he said.
But beyond talent and hard work, Davido stressed the importance of faith.
He warned that success often comes with distractions that can pull people away from what truly matters.
“Love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it, because there are so many distractions that can make you forget He is the reason you are here,” he added.
For Davido, the message is simple: success is sweeter when it’s anchored in faith, humility, and gratitude.
And for the young Nigerians looking up to him, it’s a reminder that staying close to God is the surest way to keep their dreams alive.
