C’River Govt set to revive Obudu Ranch

Calabar: The Cross River Government has announced plans to commence the reconstruction of the Obudu Ranch, aiming to solidify the state’s position as a leading player in Nigeria’s tourism industry.

Mr Sunday Michael, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Obudu Ranch Resort, disclosed in an interview with reporters in Calabar on Thursday.

Michael said that a redesigned model of the ranch had been concluded, and reconstruction work was to begin. The essence of the project is to revitalise and reposition the resort, making it a premier destination for eco-tourism.

The redesigned Obudu Ranch Resort promises to offer world-class facilities and amenities that will enhance eco-tourism. It will showcase the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of the Cross River region. The project will create jobs, stimulate economic growth and increase revenue,” he said.

The governor’s aide said that the reconstruction project was a testament to Gov. Bassey Otu’s commitment to developing the tourism sector.
