Lagos: Mr Adeboye Adeyinka, President Bola Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant on grassroots sports, called for closer collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in sports development.
He made this appeal when a delegation from the NAF visited his office in Abuja for a strategic engagement.
Adeyinka expressed his delight over what he described as a fruitful and productive meeting with senior Air Force officials.
He said he was impressed with the meeting’s outcome, which he believes will enhance grassroots sports development nationwide.
“Earlier today, Air Vice Marshal T.O. Yusuf and Kadiri Waheed Olateju paid a courtesy visit to my office. It was very productive,” he stated.
He added that the visit enabled both parties to discuss areas of mutual interest in grassroots sports development.
Adeyinka welcomed the delegation and appreciated the NAF’s commitment to supporting youth sports initiatives.
He stressed the need for collaboration between government agencies, the military, and the private sector to grow sports at the grassroots level.
Adeyinka said, “Air Vice Marshal Yusuf and Mr Olateju praised our efforts and assured us of their support going forward.”
The meeting ended with a joint commitment to pursue new areas of collaboration and promote sports development nationwide.
