Lokoja: Jordan Football Academy triumphed on Match Day Four of the Afriskaut Elite Super League, thrashing Royal Base FC 4-0 at Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.

The six-team tournament, backed by the Afriskaut/Ozi-Bako Foundation, offers young players a stage to display their talents and potential to scouts and clubs.

Aliu Akorede opened the scoring for Jordan FA in the 29th minute via a penalty, followed by Kehinde Suraju’s stunning strike in the 78th minute.

Akorede bagged his second goal in the 84th minute before Alhassan Paul wrapped up the win with a fourth goal in the 89th minute.

Team captain Paul Hassan credited the emphatic win to discipline, hard work, and strong team spirit and expressed delight with their overall performance.

The result places Jordan FA in second position with eight points, just one behind league leaders Reigner FC, who sit on nine points.

Jordan FA will face Reigner FC on Match Day Five, scheduled for June 29 at the Confluence Stadium, in what promises to be a thrilling clash.

Mr Jordan Haziel, CEO and Founder of Jordan FA, hailed his players’ outstanding display, describing the team’s showing as both brilliant and credible.

He restated the academy’s dedication to developing young talents and preparing them for professional football careers locally and internationally.

Haziel called on public and private partners to support the academy through sponsorships to enhance its development and sustain its impact.
