Lagos: The Association of Corporate Trustees (ACT) has scheduled a conference to explore the evolving responsibilities of corporate trustees in a digital-first financial environment.
President of ACT, Mrs Omolola Iyinolakan, stated this in a press release on Monday in Lagos to announce the ACT 2025 Annual Business Luncheon.
She said the digital transformation sweeping through the financial industry required trustees to embrace innovation while upholding their core fiduciary responsibilities.
Iyinolakan stressed that the role of corporate trustees in Nigeria’s digital financial ecosystem must be preserved.
She said the luncheon, with the theme “Innovating Trust – The Role of Corporate Trustees in a Digital Financial Ecosystem,” scheduled for Friday, June 4, would focus on how technology is reshaping the future of trusteeship in Nigeria.
The ACT noted that the event would bring together key players from the capital market, legal, technology, and regulatory communities.
She said they would explore the evolving responsibilities of corporate trustees in a digital-first financial environment.
“This luncheon is a timely platform for stakeholders to align on the future of trust services in Nigeria.
“The luncheon will feature the Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr Emomotimi Agama, as Special Guest of Honour.
“It will also have the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zest Payment Ltd., Mr Stanley Jacobs, who will deliver the keynote address, amongst all other panellists,” she said.
Iyinolakan said the panel discussions would cover themes of fintech-regulatory collaboration, digital risk oversight, trust governance, and data-driven compliance.
