Abuja: The Federal Government on Tuesday hailed Rwanda’s socio-economic transformation and commitment to peace in regional and global affairs under President Paul Kagame’s visionary stewardship.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar disclosed this in a statement issued by Kimiebi Ebienfa, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement is against the backdrop of Tuggar’s congratulatory message to his counterpart, Olivier Nduhungirehe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Rwanda, on the occasion of the country’s independence anniversary.
According to him, the anniversary certainly marks a significant milestone in Rwanda’s history and symbolises resilience, progress and the enduring spirit of the Rwandan people.
Nigeria commends Rwanda’s remarkable socio-economic transformation, commitment to peace, and leadership in regional and global affairs under the visionary stewardship of President Paul Kagame.
“As fellow members of the African Union and the Commonwealth of Nations, Nigeria values the strong bilateral relations between our two countries and remains committed to deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, technology, and sustainable development.
“On this joyous occasion, therefore, we reaffirm Nigeria’s solidarity with Rwanda and look forward to continued collaboration in advancing peace and sustainable development, pan-African unity and prosperity for our people,” Tuggar said.
