Zaria (Kaduna State): The Zazzau Emirate has extended its deepest condolences to the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari following his passing.
A statement issued by the emirate, personally signed by the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Bamalli, in Zaria on Monday, praised Buhari’s legacy, describing his life as “a testament to integrity, resilience, and service.”
The emir specifically stated that Kaduna would uphold the values he stood for, including integrity, peace, and progress.
“In Kaduna, his home state, we will mourn his loss deeply and honour his memory by continuing to uphold the values he stood for—integrity, peace, and progress.
“On behalf of the Zazzau Emirate and all our people, I extend our deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved, former President, and courageous Army General, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR,” Bamalli said.
He added that Buhari’s life was a testament to integrity, resilience, and service. He described his legacy as that of a tested democrat and a leader who dedicated his life to the progress and unity of Nigeria, and would be remembered for generations.
According to the emir, Buhari’s contributions to the nation, as a courageous Army General and a steadfast President, have left an indelible mark on the history of Nigeria.
“We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his entire family, the Daura Emirate, Katsina State, and all of Nigeria,” Bamalli said.
The royal father said that the Zazzau emirate joined millions of Nigerians and people worldwide in mourning this significant loss.
Bamalli said, “We stand with you in this time of grief, and our prayers and thoughts are with you all.”
He, therefore, prayed for the Almighty to grant him eternal rest and provide comfort and strength to his family during this difficult time.
