Lokoja: In a thrilling clash at Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, Jordan Football Academy reclaimed top spot in the Afriskaut Elite Super League’s second round with a 4–2 win over FA Bako.
The win on Tuesday pushed Jordan FA to 17 points, putting them ahead of Reigner FC and FC Bako in the league standings.
Ahmed Salihu scored a hat-trick in the 15th, 35th, and 43rd minutes, while Aliyu Akorede converted a penalty in the 71st minute.
John Elijah and Makoji Ojonugwa replied for FA Bako, scoring in the 45th and 54th minutes respectively.
Salihu, with his brilliant hat-trick, was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
He praised his team’s effort in reclaiming the top spot and stressed the need to maintain their winning form.
Jordan FA Founder and CEO, Jordan Haziel, congratulated the team for their exceptional performance and dedication throughout the match.
Haziel described the victory as proof of the players’ discipline, teamwork, and technical growth on the pitch.
