Abuja: In a significant shift signalling high-level strategy, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has relocated its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to the Presidential Villa in Abuja
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, announced this in a terse statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja.
Morka said that the meeting, earlier planned to be held at the party’s national secretariat on Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, would now be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
The decision, confirmed by party officials, is seen as an effort to reinforce unity, streamline internal consultations, and project leadership cohesion ahead of critical policy deliberations.
The nomination and ratification of a new national chairman for the party would form a significant issue for discussion at the meeting.
This followed the resignation of the party’s former national chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, on June 27, reportedly on health grounds.
