Kwara shifts BECE to honour late President Buhari

Ilorin: The Kwara Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has announced that it has postponed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), initially scheduled

for Tuesday (today), to Thursday, in line with the Federal Government’s order.

A statement from the Commissioner, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, on Monday, said the rescheduling followed the Federal Government’s declaration of a public holiday in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Olohungbebe assured stakeholders, including students, parents, and school administrators, that the decision was necessary due to the unforeseen holiday.

He said the ministry expressed regret for any inconvenience and thanked the public for their understanding and cooperation.
