Kaduna: The Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Maj.-Gen. Abdul Ibrahim has assured the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase, of collaboration for operational success.
Ibrahim gave the assurance when he received the new GOC 1 Division and Commander, Sector 1 Joint Task Force North-West, Operation Fansan Yamma, during a familiarisation visit to the NDA at Afaka, in Kaduna.
He reassured him of full support and collaboration to enhance the security situation in the division’s‘ Area of Responsibility’.
Ibrahim further congratulated the GOC on his appointment by the COAS as the 44th GOC, describing it as a well-deserved honour.
In his remark, the GOC assured the commandant of his readiness to support the academy whenever the need arose.
The highlight of the visit was a tour of the academy’s ‘Hall of Fame’.
