NDIC, CIBN Join Forces to Strengthen Banking Sector Resilience

Abuja, Nigeria: The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) have pledged deeper collaboration to confront rising threats in the financial sector.

The NDIC, on its official X, said the commitment was made when the President of CIBN, Prof Pius Olanrewaju, visited the Managing Director of the Corporation in Abuja.

The Corporation listed some emerging challenges in the sector, including digital banking, cybersecurity, fraud, forgery prevention, and sound risk management.

The Commission stated that the visit aimed to consolidate collaboration between the two bodies, thereby strengthening the safety and stability of the banking system.
