Abuja, Nigeria: Central Bank Governor Olayemi Cardoso will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 2025 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Washington, D.C., stepping in for Finance Minister Wale Edun, who is currently indisposed.
Cardoso, who serves as Nigeria’s alternate governor at the Bretton Woods institutions, steps in for Finance Minister Wale Edun, who is currently indisposed.
The update was disclosed in a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday in Abuja.
Also on the delegation is the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, alongside other key government officials.
According to the World Bank, major sessions include the Development Committee Plenary on October 16 and the IMF’s International Monetary and Financial Committee meeting on October 17.
Other key events will feature regional briefings, press conferences, and policy forums on global development, the world economy, and financial markets.
