Vladivostok: Sergei Naryshkin, director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, has claimed that NATO is rapidly mobilising resources in preparation for a potential war with Russia.

“We certainly see European members of NATO preparing for a war with our country,” Naryshkin said in a statement.

“The task has been set to quickly provide the NATO Allied Response Force, designated for this purpose, with all necessary resources.”

He added that European states were expanding their defence industries, conducting regular mobilisation exercises, and intensifying what he called “propaganda” about a potential Russian threat.
Naryshkin also accused European NATO members of lacking long-term strategies for continental security and singled out France and Germany for promoting “Russophobia.
