NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terrorist Base in Sambisa Forest

Abuja: The Nigerian Air Force says its Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has launched decisive airstrikes on Arra, a notorious terrorist hideout in Sambisa.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, on Wednesday in Abuja.

He said the strike was carried out after a directive from the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.

Ejodame said the operation followed intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions that tracked terrorist movements after the Oct. 17 ambush at Kashomri.

He said persistent surveillance over Kashomri and Sambisa revealed suspicious activity and active terrorist structures at Arra.

He said NAF aircraft engaged designated targets through coordinated and successive attack runs.

Ejodame said all identified targets were destroyed, degrading terrorist capabilities and disrupting their command and logistics systems.

He said the mission reflects NAF’s commitment to protecting the nation and supporting ground forces across all operational fronts.

He said the Air Force remains determined to neutralise threats, defend Nigeria’s territory, and advance lasting peace nationwide.
