Netflix Debuts Nollywood Drama, The Covenant

Abuja: Netflix has debuted the Nollywood drama, The Covenant, marking a fresh milestone for Nigerian storytelling on the global streaming platform and expanding Nollywood’s reach to audiences worldwide.

The star-studded Nollywood series is set to premiere on Netflix on December 12.

The producer of the acclaimed series, Vincent Okonkwo, disclosed this in a post on his Instagram page.

Dimeji Ajibola directed the movie. Features veteran actors Segun Arinze, Walter Anga and Zubby Michael.

Other cast members include Gideon Okeke, Sola Sobowale, Temitope Olowoniyan, Uzee Usman, Bimbo Manuel, Ivie Okujaye, Chioma Okafor, Joseph Momodu and Chinonso Arubayi, among others.

Shot across locations across southern Nigeria, ‘The Covenant’ is a gripping action series that explores themes of power, betrayal, survival, and dark secrets.

The official trailer of the star-studded five-part series hints at a dark world where characters are entangled in a dangerous game of vengeance and survival.

Blue Film Distribution will distribute the intriguing series, which will commence streaming on Netflix (Africa) and Kava TV (International) on December 12.
