Lagos: The Naira on Monday opened the trading week on a positive note against the U.S. Dollar at the official market, trading at N1,442.51.
According to data released on the Central Bank of Nigeria‘s official website, the Naira gained 86 kobo.
This represents a 0.05 per cent gain from Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, when the local currency traded at N1,443.37 per dollar.
The gain represents sustained appreciation for the local currency during the yuletide.
On Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, the Naira traded at N1,456.56 while it sold at N1,449.98 to a dollar on Tuesday.
