Public Relations Officer of the Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, said in a statement on Thursday that the first incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Kwankwaso town, Madobi Local Government Area, where two‑year‑old Sa’idu Ahmad fell into a well. Rescue teams recovered the child unconscious and handed him over to the Madobi Police Division.
Later that evening, another tragedy struck in Karofawa Yan Kifi Village, Ghari Local Government Area, where 28‑year‑old Suleiman Sani also drowned.
