Ilorin: Pastor Abiola Israel of Christ for All Church has urged Nigerian youths to resist social media addiction, stressing the need to stay focused and devote more time to productive pursuits.

Israel gave the advice in an interview with journalists in Ilorin on Saturday.

He admonished youths to give priority to their careers and avoid becoming addicted to social media.

According to him, most youths are idle but prefer to spend their day watching movies on YouTube.

Israel said, “They must learn to add value to their life by learning skills.

“Spend your precious time wisely and plan for your future, and not just copy the lifestyles of popular artistes on social media.

“Don’t wait for a big offer. Start from somewhere and build your business.”

The cleric also called on the government at all levels to invest in the youths, help engage them in gainful ventures and take them out of the streets.
