Naira Gains ₦11.93, Opens at ₦1,354.25/$ at Official Market

Lagos The Naira strengthened at the official foreign exchange market on Monday, appreciating by ₦11.93 to trade at ₦1,354.25 per U.S. dollar. The gain marked a positive start to the week, reflecting improved liquidity and renewed confidence in the currency’s performance.

Lagos:  The Naira on Monday opened the week with a gain at the official market, trading at N1,354.25 against the U.S. dollar.

According to data released on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) website, the Naira gained N11.93.

This represents a 0.8 per cent gain compared to Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, when it traded at N1,366.19 per dollar.

The Naira has remained relatively stable due to CBN reforms.
