Abeokuta: Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Wednesday commended President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, describing them as bold decisions that rescued Nigeria from the brink of collapse and placed the nation on a path of sustainable growth.

Speaking at a meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta, Abiodun said the President’s policies had begun to yield positive results despite initial challenges.

He noted that Tinubu’s administration had shown courage in implementing measures to stabilise the economy and improve Nigerians’ long-term prospects.

The governor stressed that the reforms were necessary to address structural weaknesses and restore investor confidence. He added that the APC in Ogun State was united in its support for the President and committed to ensuring his success in office.

At the gathering, the Ogun APC formally endorsed President Tinubu for a second term, citing his leadership and reform agenda as reasons to consolidate gains made so far.

Party leaders expressed confidence that continued implementation of the policies would strengthen Nigeria’s economy and improve citizens’ welfare.

The endorsement comes as political momentum builds ahead of the next election cycle, with Tinubu’s allies highlighting his record of decisive action and urging Nigerians to remain patient as reforms take root.
