Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home Targeted in Daytime Shooting

by Oluwapelumi Bolu

A hail of gunfire shattered the calm outside Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home Sunday, with the Grammy-winner inside as bullets tore through a wall.

Police say a woman in her 30s drove up, fired seven rounds, and sped away. One bullet pierced a wall while Rihanna was inside. No injuries were reported.

Authorities later found the vehicle about 12 kilometres away and arrested the suspect. She remains unidentified as investigators seek a motive.

Eyewitnesses told Fox 11 Los Angeles that the gunfire was loud and shocking, rattling the quiet neighbourhood. “It was surreal,” one neighbour said, describing the sound of shots echoing through the street.

Rihanna and her representatives have not commented. The attack has prompted widespread concern, with fans expressing disbelief online about violence in Beverly Hills.

One Wayne Reid wrote: “Gun violence, a never‑ending social ill. How can we be talking about shootings in Beverly Hills, targeting Rihanna?” Another user, @isingwrite, added: “Those mansions are easily accessible; anyone can pull up, climb over a fence, etc. But this does not justify what happened.”

Others echoed similar calls for stronger security measures. “There needs to be major security for her safety, as well as her kids,” one fan posted.

Police have launched a full investigation. Rihanna’s supporters are rallying online, as the incident underscores gun violence reaching even Beverly Hills.
