The inclusion of the sensational Afrobeats maestro, David Adedeji Adeleke, aka Davido, in the list of music icons performing at the forthcoming Scorpion Kings Live Concert is a significant and thrilling addition.
Davido, who just walked Chioma, his heartthrob, down the aisle in Miami, US, is billed to display his music prowess on August 29 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium located in the heart of Pretoria, South Africa.
“Davido is part of the family. His presence enhances this moment to be truly continental,” stated the duo behind Scorpion Kings, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. “We have curated this lineup to create a historic occasion,” he added.
The Loftus Versfeld Stadium, located in the Arcadia suburb at 416 Kirkness Street, is an iconic venue that has been a hub for sports and entertainment, adding to the grandeur of the event.
As part of the festival, which promises to be awe-inspiring, the event will pay a heartfelt tribute to the late Caiphus Semenya, a true music gladiator.
Organised in partnership with Metro FM and Converse,it will parade an array of A-list musicians such as Cassper Nyovest, Mafikizolo, Ami Faku, Focalist, among other stars.
The main event will feature a diverse lineup of performers, including Ami Faku, Cassper Nyovest, Daliwonga, Focalistic, Kamo Mphela, Kwesta, Mafikizolo, Mlindo The Vocalist, Msaki, Njelic, Nkosazana Daughter, Oskido, Sjava, and Young Stunna, promising a variety of musical experiences.
