Barcelona Tightens Grip on LaLiga with 2-0 Win over Getafe

Barcelona defeated Getafe 2-0 away on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of LaLiga.

The victory moved Barcelona to 85 points, 11 ahead of second-placed Real Madrid with five matches remaining.

Real Madrid had earlier drawn 1-1 with Real Betis on Friday, weakening their title challenge.

Getafe held Barcelona for much of the first half, frustrating their attacking efforts.

Fermin Lopez scored Barcelona’s opening goal after receiving a through pass from Pedri, putting them ahead in the match.

Raphinha sealed the victory after a solo run from midfield, finishing past the goalkeeper.

The win marked Barcelona’s ninth consecutive league victory as they strengthened their title pursuit.
