INEC Revamps Portal to Cement New PRP Leadership

Abuja: Nigeria’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has updated its official portal to formally recognise the newly elected leadership of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), signalling a fresh chapter in the party’s political journey.

This development comes after the party held its National Convention in Abuja on March 28, where new leaders were elected.

The PRP National Publicity Secretary, Ishaq Muhammed, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.

He stated the list now includes Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed as National Chairman, Mr Kanu Uchenna as National Secretary, and Dr Bayawo Abdullahi as National Treasurer.

Others are Mr Chuka Patrick, National Financial Secretary, and Mr Vincent Okudu, National Legal Adviser. Muhammed said the update indicates INEC’s formal recognition of the party’s new leadership following its convention.
