Bida, Niger State: The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, honoured First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, with the traditional title of Soniyanko Nupe—Great Queen of Nupe Land In a ceremony on Saturday. He recognised her humanitarian support to victims of insecurity and natural disasters in Niger State, highlighting her expanding role in community relief efforts.
Abubakar, who also chairs the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, conferred the title on the First Lady during her visit to his palace in Bida on Saturday.
The Etsu Nupe honoured the First Lady for her humanitarian support and assistance to victims of insecurity and natural disasters, especially those affected by the Mokwa flooding.
Abubakar called President Bola Tinubu a friend of the Nupe Kingdom and assured him of continued support and prayers for the nation’s policies and development programmes.
The First Lady expressed appreciation for the honour and promised continued support to the palace and the people. She said receiving the traditional title motivates her to do more for the Nupe Kingdom and the entire state.
