Osimhen’s Double Fires Galatasaray to Turkish League Glory

Abuja: Abuja: Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen struck twice to propel Galatasaray to a 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor, sealing the Turkish Super Lig title in spectacular fashion.

Galatasaray needed to win to emerge as champions of Turkey, but it was Antalyaspor that took the lead just before the halftime break through Dikmen’s strike.

Galatasaray responded well after the break when Gabon winger Lemina found the back of the net in the 56th minute.

Atalyaspor restored their lead in the 62nd minute through Dikmen’s second goal. But Osimhen scored two goals in the 66th and 88th minutes to give his side the lead.

Ayhan added Galatasaray’s fourth in stoppage time to secure the win.

The victory seals Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive Super Lig title, with Victor Osimhen involved in the last two.

The Nigerian striker has scored 61 goals in 75 games for Galatasaray since joining from Napoli.
