Nigerian Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, recently talked about the emotional challenges that led to the end of his last relationship.
In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, he explained that things began positively but soon became overwhelming and manipulative.
Rema shared that his demanding career already puts a lot of pressure on him, so he hoped to find comfort at home. Instead, he often felt even more stressed and could not find peace.
“My relationship was beautiful yet also quiet and manipulative. So much pressure. The world already puts pressure on me, but home should be my relief. However, when home adds more pressure, it’s a different story. For now, I’m done,” he said.
He called his ex-partner manipulative and said the emotional stress became too much to handle.
He chose to leave for his own well-being, pointing out how hard it can be to balance fame with personal relationships and how emotional strain can affect anyone, even those who seem successful.
