Edda, Ebonyi State: Chief Eni Uduma, a candidate for the Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency seat, resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to dissatisfaction with the party’s consensus process.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Uduma was excluded from the APC’s 2027 consensus arrangement.
Uduma submitted his immediate resignation to the Amiri Ekoli ward chairman on Friday.
He said the letter officially notified the party of his withdrawal from all APC duties.
He asked for his name and details to be removed from the party’s WhatsApp groups.
He said his decision followed deep reflection and consultation with constituents.
He said his constituents’ interests are best pursued on a platform committed to leadership, justice, unity, and progress.
He will seek his constituents’ interests with a platform free of internal sabotage.
He expressed deep disappointment with the APC leadership’s treatment of aspirants, saying it erodes trust.
He said the party’s actions undermine the democratic process.
He said he cannot, in good conscience, stay with an organisation that tolerates such actions.
