PSG Edge Arsenal on Penalties to Retain Champions League Crown

by Favour Adejare

Paris Saint-Germain kept their cool in a dramatic shootout, beating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties to win back-to-back Champions League titles after a tense 1-1 draw in Budapest.

Arsenal took the lead early thanks to Kai Havertz, raising hopes for a historic win. PSG responded in the second half when Ousmane Dembélé scored from the penalty spot, setting up a tense finish.

The score remained level through extra time, leading to a penalty shootout. Arsenal missed their chances with Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhães, while PSG scored their penalties to win the trophy.

With this win, PSG is now only the second club in the Champions League era to defend its title, securing its spot among Europe’s top teams.

For Arsenal, the disappointment in Budapest will last as their hopes for European glory faded.
