Gusau: The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communication, Ikra Bilbis (PDP-Zamfara), has praised Gov. Dauda Lawal for unveiling the Zamfara Digital Literacy Framework (ZDLF).
Bilbis gave the commendation on Friday while speaking with journalists in Gusau.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Governor Lawal launched the ZDLF on Wednesday in Gusau, Zamfara’s capital.
The framework aims to enhance the access of Zamfara residents, especially students and government workers, to digital tools, knowledge, and infrastructure.
It was unveiled during a stakeholder engagement session on the draft ZDLF under the supervision of NITDA.
NAN also reports that Bilbis donated 300 computer sets to the Zamfara Information Technology Development Agency (ZITDA).
The senator said the ZDLF would empower citizens with digital skills essential for active participation in today’s technology-driven world.
“It is a proud moment that Zamfara is the first state in Nigeria to launch such a framework,” Bilbis stated.
He deeply appreciated Governor Lawal for initiating the project and promoting digital inclusion.
Bilbis described the policy as a game changer that would make Zamfara residents more digitally aware and skilled.
He also commended the governor for his ongoing transformation projects across the state.
He said the administration’s rescue mission and urban renewal efforts would take Zamfara to greater heights.
He encouraged citizens to continue supporting the government’s push for progress and development. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
