Awka: The Police Command in Anambra deployed personnel and equipment on Saturday to safeguard fun-seekers at the inauguration of the “Solution Fun-City” in Awka.
Solution Fun-City, a modern and well-designed amusement and leisure hub, was established by the state government for the pleasure of fun seekers.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement on Saturday in Awka, said that the command ensured adequate security at the event.
“The Police-led Security Force today fortified in and around the Solution Fun-City in Awka during its grand opening ceremony.
“This is to ensure a safe and secure environment for fun seekers and tourists who will attend the ceremony.
“The deployment comprises both conventional police personnel, Police Mobile Force, Armoured Personnel Carriers, Explosive Ordnance Operatives, and equipment.
“It also involves the State Intelligence and Investigative Operatives as well as Traffic Operatives,” he said.
The occasion featured music, dance, special performances, comedy, and general entertainment.
The guest artists include Flavour, Umu Obiligbo, Jeriq, Ugoche, Apete, Janifer Eliogu, Professor Onye Egwu, Eyesbebe, Ogbuefi Go Tuk, Onye Obodo, Ezegetive, Prince Neche, Slym Shady, and Sky The Hype Machine.
