Former Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari, died on Sunday in London.
Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu, confirmed his demise, saying the late Retired General died in a London clinic.

The details of the cause of his death has yet to be disclosed to the public, however, Buhari served as Nigerian President from 2015 to 2023.
He had been Nigeria’s military Head of State between December 31, 1983 to August 27, 1985. He took over power in a military coup from the late Alhaji Shehu Shagari, before he returned as democratically elected president.
He was the first opposition candidate in Nigerian history to defeat an incumbent president.
Funeral arrangements were yet to be announced.
