Ore (Ondo State): Fear and grief swept through the Onigbara River community in Odigbo, Ondo State, on Monday evening after a domestic argument between two brothers ended in death.
The tragic incident, which has thrown the community into confusion and mourning, occurred Monday evening during an altercation between the two brothers.
A resident of the community, who requested anonymity, stated that the reason for the incident could not be determined.
“Till now, we don’t know what transpired between them that could have led him to kill his brother,” the resident said.
Further findings also revealed that the brothers are sons of a community police officer, popularly known as Awilo.
DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, has, however, confirmed the incident.
“The Commissioner of Police has ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID), Akure, for further and thorough investigation,” Ayanlade said.
