Olufaki Celebrates Ooni’s Enduring Legacy @51

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi—resplendent in his signature white regalia—shares a regal moment with the Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, Oba (Dr) Adegbenro Falore, in a powerful display of Yoruba royal unity and cultural pride.

Ibadan, Oyo State (Nigeria): The Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, Oba (Dr.) Adegbenro Falore, has hailed the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II  on his 51st birthday, praising his uncommon wisdom, cultural leadership, and unwavering commitment to national unity.

Describing the monarch as “a bridge between tradition and transformation,” Olufaki lauded the Ooni’s role in preserving Yoruba heritage while championing peace across Nigeria.

Oba Adegbenro, in a statement issued by his Media office, described him as a symbol of transformational leadership and unity in the Yoruba race and the world at large.

He added that Oba Ogunwusi remains a bridge builder whose contributions have fostered positive development.

The traditional ruler commended the Ooni, as the Arole Oduduwa, for his deliberate efforts in fostering harmony within his domain and beyond, promoting peace among Yoruba royal fathers, and encouraging understanding of differences.

Oba Adegbenro affirmed Ooni’s sustained pursuit of the enviable development of the ancient town of Ife and the progress of his subjects.

He lauded his unwavering commitment to preserving Yoruba cultural heritage and ideals.

He commended him as the Co-Chairman of Traditional Rulers in Nigeria for building bridges that not only attracted physical developments to his domain but also strengthened bonds in the state’s traditional institution and beyond.

“On behalf of the good people of Ifaki-Ekiti, I wish the Ooni of Ife more prosperous years ahead in greatness and better health,” Olufaki said.

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was born on October 17, 1974, and crowned the 51st Ooni of Ife in August 2015.

Oba Ogunwusi, at his birthday thanksgiving on Friday in Ile-Ife, described his journey as one of divine purpose and service.

He highlighted Nigeria’s wealth of human and natural resources and urged citizens to contribute collectively to building a peaceful and prosperous future.
