Nollywood’s Safari Featuring Top Stars Premieres in Cinemas Nov 21

Abuja: Nollywood’s highly anticipated star-studded film, Safari, is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on November 21, promising a captivating blend of drama, culture, and top-tier performances.

Featuring a powerhouse cast, the movie marks a significant moment for the industry, drawing attention for its rich storytelling and cinematic flair.

Obi Emelonye, ace filmmaker and director of the movie, announced the release date on his verified Instagram page.

The post reads: “It’s finally here! The official trailer for SAFARI THE MOVIE is out now!

“She ran from her chaos in Nigeria and landed in Nairobi, searching for peace, love, and a second chance. What she found was herself”.

“A story of freedom, healing, and rediscovery begins”.

” Get ready to experience a journey of adventure, pain, courage, and triumph; this is one story you’ll never forget”.

Safari, produced by Emelonye, features a dazzling blend of cast, including Osas Ighodaro, Ali Nuhu, Jide Achufusi, Emmanuel Mugo, and Ken Ambani, among others.

It was filmed across Lagos, Abuja, Nairobi, and Mombasa, making it one of Nollywood’s most ambitious cross‐continental collaborations.

The film’s plot tells the story of Nkiru Farouk, the disenchanted wife of a Nigerian politician who embarks on a safari vacation in Kenya.

Her journey takes an unexpected turn when she becomes romantically involved with a local beach boy who is later accused of murdering a British tourist.

Described as a blend of romance, thriller, and drama, Safari marks a significant milestone for Nollywood’s expanding international reach.

The film’s release is expected to attract both local and international audiences, further establishing Emelonye’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading cinematic voices.

The highly anticipated movie premiered earlier this month at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
