Abuja: The Ona of Abaji, Dr Adamu Yunusa, has applauded President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for spearheading the ongoing infrastructural transformation across the Federal Capital Territory.
Yunusa, who is also the Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, gave the commendation when members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by the Coordinator, Adamu Abdullahi, visited him in his palace on Thursday.
The traditional ruler described Wike as a true ambassador of Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda”.
He specifically praised the minister for the ongoing infrastructural development in the FCT, particularly in satellite towns, and called for more interventions in the education sector to liberate the people.
The ambassadors also visited Gwargwada, Rubochi, Yaba, Wako, Pai, and Zuba chiefdoms.
The Chief of Pai in the Kwali Area Council, Alhaji Abubakar Pai, commended the Tinubu administration for the extensive road network in rural communities, stressing that it has made the transportation of farm produce to the city centre easier.
Also, the Agora of Zuba, Muhammad Umar, expressed confidence in the ambassadors’ ability to serve the FCT and pledged continued support for the territory’s progress and unity.
Earlier, Abdullahi explained that the visit was aimed at familiarising the ambassadors with traditional rulers in the FCT and to seek their blessings and guidance.
He added that the visit was also to strengthen relationships and seek their support for the success of the Tinubu-led administration.
He assured the traditional rulers that their pleas would be documented and presented to Tinubu, whom he described as a listening president.
