Wike Pledges Support for Tinubu’s Second Term

Abuja: The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has pledged unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s second term in office.

Speaking during a meeting with stakeholders in Rivers State, Wike recalled openly backing Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election despite political pressure.

He said his camp acted “when it mattered most” and would continue to stand firmly with the President as preparations for the 2027 general elections begin.

Wike emphasized that political courage was required in 2023, when many doubted Tinubu’s chances, but early supporters were recognized after his victory.

He assured his followers that agreements made would be honored, stressing, “Agreement is agreement. Anything you cannot do, don’t say.”

The minister dismissed critics questioning his loyalty, insisting that his commitment to Tinubu’s administration remains firm.

He added that Rivers’ support helped the President “stand strong” in the state when it was difficult to declare allegiance.
