Kano (Nigeria): Some residents of Kano have commended the Super Eagles for their impressive performance in their last outing, urging the team to sustain the momentum and secure victory against Morocco in their next match.
The residents, who spoke in separate interviews on Tuesday, expressed confidence in the team’s ability to overcome the North African side if the players maintained discipline, focus, and teamwork.
A football enthusiast, Muzammil Yola, said the Eagles had shown great determination and tactical awareness in their previous match, describing their display as encouraging.
“They played with confidence and unity. If they approach the Morocco match with the same spirit, they can win and make Nigerians proud,” he said.
Another resident, Mr. Musbahu Shehu, noted that the team’s attacking pattern and solid defence had improved, adding that these would be crucial against a strong Moroccan side.
“The Eagles must remain composed and avoid unnecessary mistakes. Morocco is a tough team, but Nigeria has what it takes to defeat them,” he said.
Similarly, a sports analyst, Zahradeen Saleh, urged the coaching crew to study Morocco’s style of play and deploy the right tactics to counter their strengths.
He also called on Nigerians to continue supporting the team, stressing that the team’s morale could be inspired by fans’ support.
Mr Godwin Chukwudi said they were hopeful that a victory would boost national morale and further cement Nigeria’s reputation as a football powerhouse in Africa.
The Super Eagles are expected to face Morocco today in a crucial fixture that will determine their qualification for the competition’s finals.
