Lopez Brace, Lewandowski Strike Fire Barcelona Past Slavia in 4–2 UCL Thriller

Fortuna Arena, Prague: Barcelona survived a scare in Prague as Fermin Lopez’s first‑half double and second‑half goals from Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski powered them to a 4‑2 Champions League victory over Slavia, keeping their last‑16 hopes alive.

Slavia stunned the Catalans early when Vasil Kusej bundled home in the 10th minute. Lopez responded with two composed finishes — first from Frenkie de Jong’s pass in the 34th, then a low drive eight minutes later. Just before halftime, Lewandowski inadvertently deflected a corner into his own net to restore parity.

Olmo restored order with a thunderous strike into the top corner on 63 minutes, moments after coming off the bench. Lewandowski redeemed himself in the 71st, slotting home from Marcus Rashford’s assist to seal the win.

The result keeps Barcelona in contention for a top‑eight finish in the league phase, guaranteeing direct passage to the last 16. They now face FC Copenhagen at home in their final group clash next week.
